Pero she went on a trip to Thailand, saw these shoes,
and got them for me because they reminded her of me.
It was one of the coolest surprises ever. She's super sweet)

Life Updates: Part One

1. My wonderful friend Ina invited me to a shoot for an article she was shooting
for the Philippine Star (it was about androgynous people and she said that
I always dress like a boy so ready set go na daw)

I would like to thank her magical face for the opportunity - and as usual,
I would like to tell her that she is such a talented photographer

Appa

Long time no blog - I've been so busy I wasn't even able to blog about Appa.

After months of having Korra at the house, my mom felt that
he should have a friend so he wouldn't be so lonely at the house.
She talked to my brother about getting a new dog, and he found a breeder
with a tiny white pomeranian. January of this year, during my
parents' anniversary dinner, the breeder took this little dog to the restaurant
and we met him for the first time.

He was adorable and super happy. He was wagging his tail and licking all of us.
So ayon, we fell in love and decided to get him that same night

IMG_3411

Since Appa wasn't used to the house yet, he'd wake me up at 6am
for the first few days because he wanted to pee.

He was a little bit older than Korra was when we got him,
so it was really hard to make him fit into my shoe - I forced it anyway.
IMG_3464

'Di din ata gets ni Appa yung concept ng "bed," so he would
sleep on the floor of his cage instead of his pillow
IMG_3512

He also liked sticking his nose and his paws out of the cage for some reason.
(Korra used to do this too - Appa looks Chinese, 'no?)
IMG_3552

He had adorable eyebags that Dad really liked.
Dad said the eyebags made Appa look different
IMG_3865

#medyomalandi
IMG_3636

He was super hyper too, he would pull bags three times his weight around the house
IMG_3606

Korra hated him for a while too, (syempre spoiled dog kasi)
pero he warmed up to Appa din
IMG_3702

That's my niece Maxine playing house with them

They'd take me to school everyday.

Kris Aquino

So when this whole Kris-Aquino-crying-with-her-sisters-wearing-black-and-no-make-up
thing exploded, my Ate sent me a tweet saying that I should be there to
support her in case she has a  nervous breakdown on national television.

And theeeeeen, this drawing was made.
Her exact request to me was,
"Ana! Can u draw for me pls our presscon
with u and diday in black and me in ponytail,
no makeup? For my blog"

It didn't look like Ate with a ponytail, so I drew her with her hair down

Multimedia Arts Festival (Please go!!!)

People who know me personally know that I hate having to ask people for things,
but this is a big, big, big, big, big, exception.

Meet the Multimedia Arts Festival, a collaboration of all the students
taking PORTFOL (as in portfolio kung hindi halata) class this term.
Our goal this term was to make each installation as interactive as possible.
We really didn't want this to just be like any other exhibit -
we wanted everyone to have fun and to be able to play with the artworks
and I am really, really excited and scared and proud to be part of it!

This amazing amazing poster was made by Jer Dee, Anna Dela Rama and Nando Maglutac
(and they worked non-stop for around nine hours to finish this - I know because I was there!!!)

Please come by if you have time on these dates!!!

BOTH THE IN-CAMPUS EXHIBIT AND THE OFF-CAMPUS EXHIBIT
ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS IN ANYONE CAN GO,
AND NO THERE IS NO ENTRANCE FEE!!! Diba that's awesome???
And seriously. The flying pig on the poster should really be enough for you to want to come by.

P.S. Since I'm already asking you guys to go to the exhibit, might as well ask you to
like the Facebook page. :-)) The link is over here!!! Watch out for updates and schedules
on our Facebook, okay? During the April 10-12 exhibit at Rockwell, we are inviting
very cool people to give talks about the creative industry

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, too!!!

Miss Ina Inonog, ebribadi

I told myself that I had to take a break from blogging
so that I could concentrate on my thesis and our PORTFOL
exhibit this term, but I had to post this -

This is my friend Ina's thesis and I am so proud of her
and pwede bang I am so lucky to have been a part of it?
Grabe lang guys, watch this - Mastre-stress kayo.

(And dear Ina, I'm so happy that it's over! I know how much stress
you were in when you were making this - pero super worth it diba???
Grabe I really want a copy of this I want to read it okay.
Can you bring it with you the next time I see you?)

I love you forever, Ina - I'm soooooooooo proud talaga
I will never get tired of saying that

Something to add to my hair list

Elo, ebribadi

Last Tuesday, I posted this photo on my Instagram - yes, I cut all my hair off. :-))
Pero grabe, one giant mistake is that I had it cut at a place where I don't normally go.

I was at Rockwell at the time and wanted my hair off (if some people go impulse buying, I go impulse hair-cutting whenever I feel like) so me + Carlos + Borj went looking around and ended up
at Basement Salon. Eh they looked like they were good, right? Hay nako, wrong. :-<

1. Please listen to what your cutomer says and do what they want, not what you want. :-(
2. Please learn how to blow dry properly, don't burn people's scalps. Huwag itapat ang blow dryer sa ulo ng tao, sa buhok po niya, okay? Okay.
3. Mag-ingat ka sa pag gupit ng bangs, please. PLEASE. Once you get it wrong there is no fixing it. (This guy cut the middle part of my bangs too short. Grabe he really looked like he knew what he was doing so I let him, but then when they dried my hair after, I think he was super trying to cover up his mistake -____-)

Anyway. After that scary experience, I swore never to go back there again.
The next day I went to Studio 546 at Shangrila where I always go,
and I had my haircut fixed from some ugly semi-bob thing to the boy cut I wanted +
I got my hair recolored na

Since the bangs were unfixable, I have to go bangless for a while, but I don't think I mind so much.
I like how it came out (Dear Delia I thank you ten million times for fixing my hair muah muah)

I don't think I've ever gone this short before! (Siguro kasi din bawal sa high school)
