The past few weekends

Hi, everyone! I've been analyzing life lately, so I couldn't blog!
(Nothing really big has been happening either -
so I will blog about small parts of my Saturdays and Sundays!)

I will be using photos from Instagram because:
1. Everyone is doing it and I am jealous
2. I am more active there than I am here
3. I don't tell the complete stories behind the photos I post on Instagram
4. I don't bring a camera with me that often anymore
so I always use my phone to take pictures

Let's start with about four weeks ago - On Saturdays,
we normally go out to dinner with Tito Ronny and his family,
but that Saturday, we decided to just eat at their unit.
This is their rug - yay.

And everyone knows about the Haagen Dazs shortage, yes?
That night, Pammy (my cousin) told me that they had some coffee-flavored
ones and they gave me two. I was in love.

Tita Mimi was so cute because she said to me,
"Wow! You like the ice cream! We're happy because you're happy!"

Still from that Saturday night - Korra was sleeping on my mom's couch.
He looked like the laziest caterpillar on earth.

Let's move to the Sunday after that - I love visiting Ate Diday's house
because Simba's always happy to see me. That's him licking my face on the second frame!
And I was really lucky because I was able to catch a photo of him yawning!

One thing I love about Simba is that he will alwaysalwaysALWAYS
look or come to you when you call his name - it makes pictures like this
possible. :-)) That's him sitting by the window, his favorite spot

That afternoon, I was with Tisha and Mickey, and we walked to Aghai
(No idea if that's the correct spelling) to buy some Coke for me and Tisha
and some orange soda for Mickey. (Ano ulit tawag dun? Mirinda? Mickey answer me)

We were walking under umbrellas because it was hot.
After a while we realized the umbrella wasn't helping...
... Because it was transparent...

This is Simba not caring about me lying down on him. :-)
(I miss him already)

Fast forward to Saturday from three weeks ago! We invited Tisha
to have dinner with us at Champetre, some French place (that I actually like!!!)
We begged Dad to take us to Fully Booked after, and we met this malamute.
He was so big and I got to hug him and he's taller than me when I'm kneeling down
and he's so cute and nice and fluffy and I'm saying all these things but I don't know his name

The Sunday after that, I spent the whole day with Tisha again.

We rode with Ate to High Street and everyone went around a bit.
Tisha and Ana went to Top Shop, Ate went to Muji,
Christian and yaya went to Krispy Kreme, and Ben and Markus went to uh...
Oh! They were with Ate at Muji

After we all met up, we walked to Coffee Bean because the kids wanted cookies.
They started playing with the small cups on display. (We're sorry!)

After that, we dropped off the kids at home and then we headed to Shangrila.
Tisha and Ana fell in love with these shoes.
(The left is hers and the right is mine)

After we finished, Ate dropped us off at Tisha's house and Simba ate my socks.

We had dinner with the parents after Tisha's house, and I found
the perfect case for my phone. It has a smiley with a nose!

Now for Saturday two weeks ago - Tisha had texted me a few nights before
telling me she needed an MRI for these really bad headaches she was getting.
As long as I absolutely do not have to, I do not wake up early in the morning,
so in return Tisha wore the funny hospital slippers for me. :-))

(We're always up to something, so when Tisha had to dress up for her MRI,
of course I had to wear her hospital gown too. The lady outside was probably
wondering what we were laughing about)

After Tisha's tests were done, we had a lot of time before lunch,
so we went to High Street, got some free donuts at Krispy Kreme,
and visited the newly opened Landes! They're still selling these super
expensive Mario cubes, so instead of buying, take pictures nalang!!!

We painted these at the Color Me Mine place

Sunday was Kuya Dennis's post-birthday lunch, and it was at Marriott.
At the dessert section of the buffet, there was a whole table made of chocolate
and Tracy bit off a little part of it. =))

We walked around a bit at Resorts World after eating, and this is
a very confused Ana and Mickey

Mickey, Tisha and Tracy came over for a bit, and we watched
New Moon together while tweeting all the funny lines :-))
That's Korra on top of Tisha!

We had dinner at Tisha's house, and before going home,
I passed by Ate's house because she had something for my mom.
(And she had something for me!!! She gave me her magical magical magical shoes!!!!!!!!)
SO PRETTY I am thinking of wearing these to Dad's birthday!!!!

So I had another date with Dad

Hello! The finals are finally over!
(This means I can blog now.)

Before the girls got back from the States, I had another date with Dad!

But first: Korra being fat + a new super long skirt yehey

Okay I don't know how to introduce Rita, but I will try.
It can go two ways: 1. Rita, my Ate's friend, invited me to a gallery showing in Makati
or 2. Rita, my mom's best friend's daughter, invited me to a gallery showing in Makati
(Either way it works, so I will just continue the story)

So ayun nga, she invited me to a gallery showing and she said I should really go because
Maria's painting is there (I have never met Maria) + she thought I'd like the other stuff.

So I asked Dad if he wanted to go with me, and he said yes!
On the day of the showing, I went to Dad's office so I could ride with him nalang.
Mr. Alan-dude was there and he went with us. This is him texting. :-)

The exhibit was at a place called Silverlens Gallery, and these were the ones that I liked:

1. I am the idiot who did not get this artist's name, but I liked the paintings. :-(

2. When I was in grade school, my friend Anne introduced me to The Late Isabel.
They were a band that was fronted by Wawi Navarroza. I told my Ate about them,
and I found out na friends pala sila. :-| For my birthday that year, my Ate got
me a signed photo of her (Yes I still have it but it is in the old house)
Hemingway, years later, I found her art at the gallery :-))

3. Was not able to get a name for these again, but they're amazing.
Nakakastress. When Rita was showing me these pieces she told me that the person
who made it was using a tiny, tiny cutter to make all those shapes
_MG_2209
_MG_2210

Hindi ka ba nastre-stress?
The details scare me - kind of like that bubble wrap painting at the Pinto Gallery in Antipolo.
I will never understand how they take the time to do all that and not go insane. :-))
_MG_2211

4. There was a banana peel on the ground! I did not understand this at all, but it was cute!
_MG_2212

5. Okay - so when I saw this one, the style was suuuuuper familiar.
Rewind to two years ago (here) and look for my favorite artworks from Manila Art 2010.
Yes, same artist! I knew it - this was by Christina Dy!
(Pero masmaganda yung mga drawing nung Manila Art kesa dito)
_MG_2216

But her stuff still has all the nice detail that I like!
I love how she draws the fold in the arms and how her lines are so clean and manipis
and everything's simple and she just uses a pencil but everything's so
ugh. Yoko na mag-explain basta I love her stuff
_MG_2217
_MG_2218

5. I think this is the biggest painting I've ever seen up close.
Maybe the Spolarium was bigger than this but I am not really sure because the last time
I saw the Spolarium was when I was in second grade and that was a loooooong time ago. :-/

Anyway, this is the magical wall by Maria Taniguchi! It's sooo big
_MG_2226

To prove my point
_MG_2222

See? As in it's like you'd need two Alans or two Anas to be as tall as the painting
_MG_2224
_MG_2225

Up close, it looks like this - and again - the amount of time and effort
it took to finish this scares me! Rita was telling me that she had no living room for
four months because Maria was using the space for painting :-))
_MG_2234

That's me, Rita, and Maria (Who I finally met + I'm sorry I was shy!!! fjhgj)
_MG_2235

After walking around the whole gallery, Dad said he was hungry so we left.
_MG_2236

Good byeeee Silverlensss
_MG_2238

And right when I left, Rita texted me this:
_MG_2241
:-))))) Dad if you're reading this, then I hope you are laughing!
You are uber cool!!! :-))

We ended up at Stella at High Street.
I regret ordering this pizza. It said "Anchovies and Olives", so I thought it would be just that.
There was so much leek in that pizza, I do not understand.
Why did it not say "Anchovies, Olives, and A LOT OF LEEK" on the menu nalang?
 Hindi ako na-inform.
_MG_2249

Mrs. Alan-dude joined us for dinner!
(And Dad... I can't remember the name of the guy in red...)
... But he joined us too!
_MG_2255

I was waiting for dessert when I took this
_MG_2257

Mrs. Alan-dude aka Tita Lani aka Ate Lani (I do not know what to call her,)
thank you for offering to take my picture under the street light before we left :-))
And and and and Rita aka Ate Rita aka Tita Rita (I don't know what to call her either,)
