Singapore: Day Four (and kind of Five)

On the last whole day in Singapore, I declared that I would shop.

(This would include Tisha's pasalubong, my friends' pasalubong, and me me me)

Hoy I was wearing denim pa rin ha. 

Extra information - I sewed the sleeves on this shirt to keep them folded forever.

Hala? (Miko was making me do something other than just standing there)

So ayon - Miko went off to meet up with his frisbee buddies, Mom and Dad went off

to Takashimaya, Ate Diday was somewhere too, and I walk from the hotel to Cineleisure

and went to Burger King for some lunch since everything was still closed.

When I was a kid, Ate would always order a whopper but ask that it be plain.

As in meat and bread lang, then she'd put ketchup on it while eating it.

I never grew out of it.

So ayon, after lunch, the stores were opening na. 

Biglang whaaaaaat? I found my high school friend Marga in a store!

(In Singapore pa of all places 'no? I hadn't seen her in a long time)

She's the one on the right. Tapos the friend she was with was from Benilde

pala, and she told me that she'd see me around Taft all the time.

(Lol nice to finally meet you - in Singapore. Lol)

After spending a few hours at Cineleisure, I was a happy kid na so I walked 

back to the hotel na. I passed by some Milo at the milk tea place next door, 

then headed upstairs to the room. Had a pretty long Facetime call with Kimpoi

Also ate the Yan Yan I got from Seven Eleven on the first night.

I ended up throwing it away because it was super stale, jej.

Tapos ayon, Miko, Anica, and Ana just spent the rest of the day at the hotel.

Got room service na rin instead of going out (because we planned to go out 

then everyone just got lazy so ayon)

Fast forward to Day Five, where nothing particularly interesting happened.

(except for finding a robot and a deck of cards with wild animals on them in the airport)

I kinda slept through the flight, then I woke up with an hour left

before Manila, so I asked if I could have some bread and butter.

The steward appeared with different kinds, and I was so happy that 

I said, "YAY!" and then he said "YAY!" right back at me!

Huhuhuhu thank you for being happy for me, steward guy.

When I got back to Manila, Carlos told me that his parents were inviting

me to dinner, and I was allowed (WOOHOO)

so when we got home, I just dressed up, re-makeup-ed, then left!

We had ramen that night. It was goooooood.

Singapore: Day Three

This post was super kaduper delayed because nothing much happened
the last two days there so I got pretty lazy to blog about it.
Hemingway - here it is!


Day Three was the only day that I got to go around with Mr. Chow!
(He remembers me even though the last time he saw me I had black hair!)

That day I was with Ate Diday, Miko, and Anica.
They told me they'd take me to the best Korean Barbecue ever.

We went to an old church that they turned into a city walk thinggie kind of place.

Pretty, 'no? It's not used for masses anymore eh.
There were shops and restaurants

Chenen - we're suddenly at the Korean place.
Miko was deciding what to order

I found a tiny dilis head on my placemat.

Ate Diday told me I would fall in love with this egg and I diiiiid.
It was super fluufy. (It's steamed egg)

(I don't have pictures, but after lunch we went to the bank to have it replaced)

Following the denim deal again - that's a top that I got from
Singapore with my Ate a few years back. It's ProudRace!

Fast forward to dinner.
Grabe guys, I only had a Tori Q meal once on the whole trip.
I love you chicken skin.

After dinner, we were running late for our movie,
(Which was at VivoCity - a faraway place - but also the only
one with seats to Great Gatsby kaya gora na) so Miko asked the cab
driver if we could get to the mall in ten minutes, and it was
around the fourth scariest car ride I've ever been on.


Passed by Samsung(?) and it was so bright

Met up with Miko's friends at the cinema and paid for the seats we reserved

Chenen (I sat next to Ate Diday because I'm shy)
Scary pa kasi it was during the movie when the bombing at Serendra
happened so we couldn't concentrate for a bit kasi Ate Diday got a text about it

When we left the cinmea after the movie was over, the mall was pretty much closed na.

We couldn't get a cab home because everyone was trying to get a cab home so we
walked a bit further from the mall and tried to get a cab from there.

Something funny that Miko told me about -
Before they got to our room, Miko picked up Anica at the lobby.
They were so into their conversation that he didn't notice he'd pressed
the 7th floor instead of the 8th. He went to the room that was supposedly ours
(except it was one floor below lol), and tried to work the card key but
the door wouldn't unlock. He tried it a bunch of times until the lady inside heard
and opened the door. She started at them for a few seconds then slammed it shut lelz.

Singapore: Day Two

On the second day, I was up at 8:40AM singing some
Sound of Music (that's Miko behind me)

Met up with everyone at the lobby

And then something funny happened between Ate Diday and Dad

Went to Taka, and had some Tori Q before lunch

Miko made me try the chicken ball and it was yummy

Miko was on a search for banana milk
(Sobrang obsessed niya ok)

Soon after Tori Q, Miko was already looking for a place for lunch

Ended up at the restaurant right outside Takashimaya




This is what Ate Diday had.

She removed all the cucumber bits. (I would have, too)

The main reason we chose this place - the website said that
Ichiban Boshi had really good salmon skin.

This is called a Salmon King Crown
(Miko's crown fell.)

Tapos after we ate, we walked across the street so I could go to
Topshop and so that Ate Diday could go to Abercrombie and Fitch
(Which smells amazing ever from really far away.)

When we were done, Miko took me to Haji Lane.
It was my first time to ride a bus in Singapore!
Tapos we walked and then we got on a another bus, and then
we walked a bit more, and then

WE MADE IT!!!!!

The Tiramisu Hero is a great name for a cat.

Tapos something funny happened when we got to the end of Haji Lane.
A foreigner in a suit was walking around with a Penny looking confused.
Miko and I giggled because it made absolutely no sense.

Miko treated me to a giant cup of Milo
(Thank you!!!!)

And then we walked to SMU, where we were supposed to meet Anica.
She had a short meeting thinggie at the clinic, then we began to head
back to the hotel because we didn't want to be late for dinner.

On the way to the bus stop, we passed by this creepy church.
Miko said that it's so old they had to put poles around the front
just to keep the church from collapsing

AYIIIE This was taken when we got down to Ion because
Miko remembered that he promised Ate Diday some milk tea.
He was supposed to look for Gong Cha here.

What happened kaya?

When Miko gave up on looking for Gong Cha,
we went to Lucky Plaza to get Ate Diday some Koi Tea instead.

We got to the hotel in time, then we all left for Paragon.

The restaurant we were eating in was supposed to be on the 5th floor, and when we got there,
I think Dad misunderstood me and headed up another floor.
This is him on his way back down.

Tapos Sheena, Miko's friend appeared and I freaked out because I hadn't
seen her in such a long time! We ran to each other and hugged,
tapos she got hit by the spikes on my head.

So ayon, after dinner, we left to go play billiards!
