It's been a while since MMAF ended and I still haven't blogged about it.
This is a loooooooooong story okay
So. As you may or may not know, the Multimedia Arts Festival had two parts:
One was in school, and the other one was at the Rockwell Tent. I will blog about it in order.
NONE OF THESE PHOTOS ARE MINE HA - I have taken them from
a bunch of my classmates - I think I have some of Dheyna's and Kevin's in this post
It all started with a meeting that Sir Rob set one Sunday morning at Greenbelt
We all got together and decided what to do and when to do it and who was gonna do it
duh
This is Andrea and Via - that's them encoding everyone's free time
(Na never naman din nasunod)
Andrea, Sir Rob, Via, and Zac
(Yiki super seryoso)
LOL. That day, Sir Rob gave us gift certificates to Serenitea -
it was just next door to the place we had lunch in, so after everyone ate,
we went outside and got drinks agad :-))
THANK YOU SIR WE LOVE YOU
Syempre as usual Maysie had some kind of board with her,
so she started teaching Andrea how to ride it
Amiel, Zac, Wei, John, Via's back, Andrea's back, and Maysie
Amiel made the game for our class, and Wei did the graphics -
THEY ARE AMAZING. I would have know idea how to code what they made
Oops. Maysie and Ana with the leftover food that they
fed to the admins who went to Ana's house after lunch for ANOTHER MEETING
And soooo, production for the in-campus exhibit began.
John's face in this photo pretty much sums it up - STRESSFUL
Now Wei's being stressed too. Lol
Hemingway, our plan was to make a prism-shaped stand that would hold
iPads with our artworks + the game that Amiel made on them.
We were trying to come up with a way to form the triangle
So we decided to lay them down on the floor then hold two panels up so someone could glue them
... Like so.
And then someone had to go inside and do the glue-ing
(I like tight spaces - total opposite of my Ate who hates them - so I volunteered)
Glue-ing makes me happy
Via got a chance to do it too! :-))
We apologize to the Industrial Design students!!!
(We pretty much stole their floor for those few days)
Emo Sir Rob :-(
Chan being serious uuuuuuuy!
When the main prism was done and dried up, we had to clean up
all the dirt and the scratches
Our prism was 6ft tall, so you'd have to stand on a stool to do it
And then the prism kind of fell apart in the middle of everything,
so Zac had to go in and do some re-glue-ing! (They carried the whole prism so that
he could go inside)
Magical people who weren't even our classmates pero were always there to help
us out - unlike some people who WERE supposed to be there (DIE)
Happy Sir Rob :-]
(If you guys are wondering why the hell there is a duyan at the 5th floor,
it is because this is an Industrial Design project!)
Break time muna pls
All the other chairs here are also Industrial Design projects by students!!!
Nastrestress na naman si John.
Sir Rob is laughing at me because I was shouting,
"Zac wag ngayon!!! Baka isipin nila andito lang ako at hindi nagtratrabaho!!!"
Zac shoots on anyway
The main prism has tiny prisms attached to it, so we had to cut acrylic glass again
Then we had to peel off the wrapping (my favorite part)
Hala Andrea what's happening
And then we had to cut out these holographic paper triangles
so that we could stick them on the glass
Basta yan, that's what one of the panels looked like!
Tapos for the main prism, we cut out equal sized triangles and made a pattern
Syempre si Chan nagpopose na agad, basta may camera =))
And then I made Via's finger bleed :-((
I had asked her to help hold a piece of holographic paper that was
poking out of the side of the prism so I could cut it,
but I ended up cutting her finger instead :-((
Ever since that day, she's been getting random injuries whenever she'd be with me,
so paniniwala na namin na as long as Ana is around, something will happen to Via :-))
Francis was in charge of handling the wiring
He made the lights work!
So we finished one hole side of the main triangle,
Placed the lights at the bottom,
Attached the smaller prism at the side,
AND TAH DAH!!!!
Pero one side palang yun.
Wait lang. Maraming parts pa 'to.
